Overview
ProofreadEasy ("we", "our", "us") respects your family’s privacy. This Privacy Policy explains what information the app and this website handle, how it is used, and your choices. By using ProofreadEasy, you agree to the practices described here.
Information We Collect
ProofreadEasy works entirely on your device. It does not require an account and does not collect, store or transmit any personal information to us or to anyone else. All practice sentences are built into the app, so it makes no network connections of its own. There are no third-party analytics, advertising or tracking SDKs in the app.
Read Aloud
When you play a sentence aloud, the speech is produced by Apple’s built-in voices on your device. No text or audio is sent anywhere.
Local Storage
Your child’s grade and school region, settings, stars, rounds, statistics and Focus choices are stored locally on your device using Apple’s frameworks. This data does not leave your device, except as part of your own iCloud or computer device backup (governed by Apple’s Privacy Policy). You can delete all stars, rounds and statistics at any time in Settings → Clear Game History; deleting the app removes everything.
In-App Purchases
ProofreadEasy offers an optional Premium subscription. All payment processing is handled entirely by Apple through the App Store. We do not receive or store your payment information; the app only checks with Apple whether a subscription is active.
Analytics
We may see Apple’s aggregated, anonymised App Store statistics (such as download counts), and crash reports only if you have chosen to share them with app developers in your device settings. This data cannot be used to identify you or your child.
Contacting Us
If you use Settings → Send Feedback, your Mail app opens a message to us with the app version filled in. We receive only what you choose to send, and use it only to reply to you.
This Website
This website does not ask for any personal information. It may use Google Analytics to count visits and see which pages are useful; Google Analytics uses cookies and receives information such as your IP address and browser type. You can block these cookies in your browser or with Google’s opt-out browser add-on.
Children’s Privacy
ProofreadEasy is designed for parents to use together with their primary school children (approximate ages 6–12). We do not knowingly collect any personal information from children, and the app contains no advertising, chat or links to social networks for children.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will note any significant changes by updating the date at the top of this page. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
